Sweet Baby James
Sweet Baby James is a great song written by James Taylor for his relative – baby James. It sounds like a lullaby. It speaks of future adventures that the baby might look forward to as he grows to adulthood. The song structure contains quite a few chords but it is worth learning them. None of the chords are difficult, and in the key of D, they are D, A, G, F#m, Bm, E, Em, and Asus4. As a folk song, Sweet Baby James sounds wonderful, but it has been done as a country song and as a rock song. Whichever you choose, it’s a winner.
