Runaway

Back in the 1960’s there were many wonderful songs produced. Among the great songs was Runaway, written by Del Shannon in 1961. Runaway has become a classic rock-‘n’-roll song and every musician from that era enjoys playing it. In this guitar lesson you will need these chords: Am, G, F, E, A7, F#m, D, A, and E7. Once you master these few easy chords, we will show you how to emphasize the chord sequences so that the “feel” of Runaway will leap from your guitar. As with all music, knowing the chords is important, but knowing how to play “the song” so that it sounds like the writer intended, is the key. Much of this lesson is devoted to showing you how to play the chords with an exciting style.
